Speaker Bio
Amanda is a licensed architect and historic preservationist with more than a decade of experience. She is the current Preservation Architect for the National Fund for Sacred Places. Prior to joining the National Trust, Amanda worked as the Director of Historic Preservation for the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County. She oversaw the technical programs for the local preservation nonprofit, including the easement program. While in the position, she witnessed the impact Hurricane Helene had on Western North Carolina. She also previously worked in traditional architecture firms where she worked on a variety of projects ranging from building assessments, writing historic structure reports, and rehabilitating historic buildings.
