Speaker Bio
Molly Baker serves as the HOPE Crew Manager in the Preservation Services and Outreach department at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where she works to grow interest in building preservation trades by engaging younger and more diverse audiences in hands-on training opportunities. In collaboration with HOPE Crew Director Milan Jordan, she has helped expand the program to connect architecture education with real-world preservation experience, partnering with students on campus stewardship, community engagement, and documentation projects.

Molly was drawn to building preservation by the beauty and craftsmanship of historic buildings, and by the belief that there is value in learning about history through the structures that hold the stories of our past. She holds an AS in building preservation & restoration from Belmont College and a BA in history from Northwestern State University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
In 2023–24, Molly was honored to serve as the Harrison Goodall Preservation Fellow, during which she created a guide to help smaller regions develop sustainable preservation trades training opportunities.
