Raynetta “Ray” Hill is a dynamic leader in economic development, small business advocacy, and community revitalization. As the Executive Director of the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District in Milwaukee, Ray has spearheaded transformational projects, including extensive streetscape improvements and achieving Main Street Accreditation. With nearly two decades of experience in real estate development and management, she has successfully implemented zoning overlays and championed initiatives that drive equitable growth. A Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program alumna and certified process consultant, Ray serves as a board executive and accomplished speaker. She has led efforts to enhance customer and visitor experiences, including streetscape activations, business support programs, and innovative place-making strategies that create vibrant, welcoming environments. Her leadership is rooted in lived experience, blending a blue-collar upbringing with strategic vision. Ray is passionate about uplifting economic empowerment and sustainable development, making her a strong advocate for state governance initiatives that uplift communities and small businesses. Her achievements have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by her recognition as one of the Milwaukee Business Journal's 40 under 40 2021 awardees, 2021 Young Pioneer award by the African American Chamber of Commerce, 2023 UNCF Mastermind by Mayor Johnson, Hyfin Community Impact award, and one of the 51 black leaders for the State of Wisconsin from Madison365 and most recently on of the black leaders you should know by the Milwaukee Business Journal. In her leisure she enjoys spending time with her family, partaking in anything food, art and music related.
