Rachel has worked in the nonprofit & municipal sectors in Denver since moving to Colorado to complete a national AmeriCorps NCCC program. From refugee resettlement & integration to youth leadership and international exchange programs to local economic and community development, she has developed a strong skill set in both the programmatic and operational aspects of program management. She has experience with organizations in all phases of development, from start-up to mature institutions.
In the process of earning her degree in Nonprofit Management through Regis University, she had the opportunity to study both local and global civil society issues. In all her work, building networks between diverse constituent groups in order to build strong community has been a central theme.

In her current role with the City of Denver Office of Economic Development, she facilitates strong cross-sector collaboration that creates opportunity and prosperity in under-served communities. She currently focuses on longstanding, local Legacy Businesses that make positive impacts to their local neighborhoods as well as small businesses at risk of displacement from construction and public investments.
