Preserving Multidimensionality invites participants to reflect on the intentional, slow, and collaborative process of engaging with Caddo Citizens and Knowledge Keepers as part of the Caddo Mounds Historic Site research and design process. Anchored in a wide, flexible constellation of innovative and iterative methods and relationships, the cultural landscape practices in service of “re-preserved” Caddo cultural landscapes are the center of this session. Panelists will discuss how despite the fracturing of Caddo landscapes, reimagining our relationships to our methods, challenges, and each other empowers Caddo Peoples and project partners to restore and reinterpret the cultural landscape.
