This hands-on workshop explores the use of GIS technology to preserve and share community stories through interactive maps, surveys, and dashboards. Participants will learn how to design and implement geospatial surveys that collect personal and historical narratives, which are then visualized on maps to highlight significant landmarks, events, and cultural heritage sites. By the end, attendees will understand how to use GIS tools to create digital archives that enhance community engagement and protect local history for future generations. Laptop strongly reccomended to participate in hands-on component of the workshop.
