Enjoy this afternoon’s session in the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis King of France, one of the oldest cathedrals in continuous use in the United States. The first church on this site was constructed in 1718, and the second cathedral on the site burned 1788, with construction of the third and current cathedral beginning in 1789.

The Most Reverend Gregory M. Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans and parishioner Gayle Benson will talk about the cathedral’s current plans to preserve this important house of worship.

Danielle del Sol, Executive Director of the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans will share how New Orleans was historically shaped by its location as well as its amazing preservation story.

Hear from National Trust for Historic Preservation CEO and President Carol Quillen on the occasion of the organization’s 75th anniversary as she reflects on the power of place and preservation to enrich the lives of all Americans.
