Name
Evaluating Integrity to Better Support a Representative Preservation Movement
Date & Time
Monday, October 28, 2024, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Description

To be listed in the National Register, a property must have not only historic significance it also must retain the characteristics that support that property in telling its story; that is, "integrity." Integrity has too often been confused with "condition."

To better understand the difference, in this session, we'll examine the seven aspects of integrity—location, setting, design, materials, workmanship, feeling and association—in the context of recently listed properties associated with traditionally underrepresented communities.
