Vincent L. Michael, PhD has over 40 years experience in heritage conservation and is a widely sought speaker, advisor and thought leader. He has been Executive Director of the Conservation Society of San Antonio since 2016. Vincent also serves on the Boards of the National Trust Community Investment Corporation, the National Preservation Partners Network and Preservation Action. He is Trustee Emeritus of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where he was Vice Chair of the Preservation and Sites Committee and the Diversity Task Force. He served as Chair of the National Council for Preservation Education and held the John Bryan Chair of Historic Preservation at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he taught graduate level historic preservation for 16 years. Vincent has worked on heritage projects in Asia, South America and Europe and currently teaches World Heritage Management at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
