Katie Wasley has worked at the South Dakota State Historic Preservation Office since October 2020. In her time with the office, Katie has worked with a variety of programs, such as the National Register of Historic Places, Certified Local Governments, the State Historical Marker program, review and compliance of projects submitted under federal and state laws, and the Deadwood Fund Grant program. Katie also serves as the Treasurer for the Oahe Chapel Preservation Society and as a State Representative for the AASLH’s Awards Program. Katie holds an A.A. from Cottey College, a B.A in Anthropology from Eastern Washington University, and an M.A. in Anthropology from Ball State University.
