For 40 years Jane Boddie has restored and maintained the collection of historic properties belonging to Louisianian Matilda Gray Stream and her family . For 25 of those years she has been the Director of the flagship of those properties, Evergreen Plantation. Ms. Boddie oversaw a major restoration of Evergreen in the 1990s and opened it the public as a Historic Site in 1997. In 2014 she opened the Evergreen Research and Interpretive Center, which hosts archaeology students from around the nation. In 2016 she helped organize The Stakeholders of West St. John Parish, an alliance of local residents determined to have a voice in their future, and for the last two years she has been a Consulting Party in the Corps of Engineers Section 106 review for the permitting of Greenfield Terminal.
