NICOLE HOBSON- MORRIS
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA
Division of Historic Preservation and a Deputy SHPO for the Louisiana State Historic Preservation Office within the Lieutenant Governor’s Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism, Office of Cultural Development for over 20 years. A graduate of Tulane University’s Master of Preservation Studies Program ‘01, she is the 2024 recipient of the Tulane University School of Architecture Angela O’Byrne Alumni Award for her work in historic preservation.
With a team of nine professionals who concentrate on Louisiana’s historic above-ground resources through various programs mandated by the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Fund and the National Main Street Center, she works daily with the private and public sectors seeking to identify, document, and revitalize the rich cultural resources in their respective communities. Very rewarding!
