The federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives Program is one of the premier tools for building sustainable communities. Join National Park Service and Louisiana State Historic Preservation Office program staff to visit successful tax credit projects in the O.C. Haley Boulevard commercial district. Learn about the program and rehabilitation issues, and experience firsthand the program’s pivotal role in revitalizing this historically diverse and culturally significant district. Following a brief presentation, the session will include a walking tour. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Participants travel by bus for a portion of the Field Study; however some brief walking will be required. Please dress appropriately with comfortable shoes and rain gear as appropriate. Water will be provided if you forget your water bottle.
